You Are Not Alone!

Do you ever feel all alone?

Though the angel brought good news of the Savior, the news was life changing for Mary.

I love how God provided Mary with someone to encourage her.  Immediately following the angel’s announcement of the virgin birth he then announced another bit of news.  “And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.  For nothing will be impossible with God.”  Luke 1:36 – 37

Mary wasted no time getting on the road to visit Elizabeth who upon Mary’s arrival responded with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!  And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?  Luke 1:42b

Elizabeth’s words must have brought great comfort to Mary.  At times, we may feel all alone in our situation and think no one could possibly understand.  Yet God often provides others to encourage us.

50 – 70 miles and several decades in age separated Mary and Elizabeth yet Mary went to great effort to travel to Elizabeth!  If you feel alone, take a step today to reach out to someone!  Or ask the Holy Spirit to give you the voice of encouragement to speak into someone’s life.  Your words may be just what they need!
